As a startup within the Schaeffler Group we are a steadily growing team. We share the vision of creating something new and exciting, changing mobility and making urban life more livable.
When it comes to new mobility concepts, Patrick is a pioneer. Convinced of this personal type of mobility, Patrick, who has a master’s in industrial engineering, has been supporting the development and concept design of the Bio‑Hybrid in leading roles since 2014. Within the team he’s responsible for strategy and business development. In this role, he benefits from his experience at Breakthrough Innovationen and as a consultant for innovation management and corporate venturing.

Philipp is equally fascinated by motion, mobility and innovations. He thinks outside the box, breaks through old thought patterns and comes up with unusual solutions. With a degree in sports economics, he joined our team from a Nuremberg-based association for innovation in transportation and logistics, so Philipp, in a way, has been culturally preconditioned for his new job. Perfectly connected, he drives our strategic development in his role as a business development manager. In addition, he takes care of partners and customers.
Personal mobility is part of Sandrine’s philosophy of life. Every day, she cruises through Munich on her bike, catches a metro train or jumps into a car. Following many years of experience as a purchaser and sales manager in the automotive industry, she now looks at mobility from the Bio‑Hybrid angle. In her role as a business development manager, Sandrine, who hails from France, brings international flair, creativity and interdisciplinary know-how to our company.
Julia draws on a wealth of experience as an assistant in various companies. Now our young startup benefits from her background. With strong organizational skills and a healthy dose of resilience and flexibility, she supports us in all aspects of our business. As a state-certified translator for English and Italian she’s a valuable asset in handling our international correspondence, plus Julia’s always in an upbeat mood.
Sven hails from Berlin and has experienced the changes in urban mobility and the problems that go along with it first-hand. A perfect fit for us. As a production planner – responsible for the industrialization of the Bio‑Hybrid – he will help us put the Bio‑Hybrid on the road. As an avid cyclist and enthusiastic car driver Sven has been wanting to optimize both worlds for a long time. With a degree in engineering management and a career track including production management in the automotive industry, he brings plenty of experience to his new role.
Because the Bio‑Hybrid is unique almost every part for it is tailor-made. Some of the required components are found in Schaefflers diverse portfolio while others have to be supplied by external specialists: a perfect playing field for Alexandra in Purchasing to select the right partners. With a B.A. in business administration and completed training as an industrial management assistant, she’s in the process of developing our supplier relationships, while paying special attention to sustainability and quality.
With more than ten years of experience in Purchasing and Inventory Management – four of them in the automotive sector – Veronika has a firm handle on the entire procurement process because it will have to run smoothly when we launch regular production at the end of 2020. This is a challenge Veronika loves to embrace. After seven years in Cologne, she just moved back to our region dubbed “Franconian Switzerland” and can hardly wait to switch from her nippy little red car to a Bio‑Hybrid.
Technological progress. Renewable energies. Energy engineering. Exactly the right topics for Heiko, who, as a systems engineer on our team, literally communicates between the electric powertrain, batteries and electronic control units. Following his academic career, the battery expert, who did his PhD work with Bosch, initially worked in software development with Porsche. In his role with us, Heiko is looking forward to the daily challenges of an agile spin-off.
We’d like everyone to learn about our innovative mobility concept and we enjoy infecting others with our enthusiasm for the Bio‑Hybrid – be it offline or online, at events or in the web. This is what drives Ute and for this purpose, she brings her long-standing experience in branding and communications in an agency – also for and with Schaeffler – to the Bio‑Hybrid Team. With a degree in media management, she’s the person behind our social media channels, among other things.
Jan-Philipp has been a motorsport enthusiast ever since his childhood days, so after obtaining a degree in mechatronics, he went on to earn a master’s in motorsport engineering in Oxford. Since then, Jan-Philipp, as a systems and data engineer, has gathered a wide range of experience in prototype development. Now he contributes his passion for the combination of technology, motion and design to the Bio‑Hybrid team on a daily basis.
Many things in the life of the avid long-distance runner and triathlete revolve around motion. That’s why he’s particularly fascinated by the Bio-Hybrid’s combination of an electric motor and muscle power – of locomotion and motion. With a degree in engineering management, Stefan draws on more than 20 years of purchasing experience in the automotive industry and mechanical engineering which he now contributes to our company.
From virtual 3D data to the finished product. From the component to the system to the total vehicle: Sebastian is the right person to contact for “putting the Bio‑Hybrid into production.” With more than five years of professional experience under his belt, including in the automotive sector, Sebastian, who has a degree in mechanical engineering, brings his solid engineering design and product development know-how to the team.
